Following the previous success of the mini track on Social Media and innovation at ECSM 2014, we are happy to invite for submissions for next year’s conference, taking place in beautiful Portugal, in Porto.

Social media has become an important tool for businesses. It can be integrated into the communication strategies of organizations and can play a fundamental role in building brand awareness, communicating with customers, leading to the diffusion of innovation and the management of open innovation. 

The mini-track will examine the nature of social media innovation and strategies that contribute to achieving company innovation goals. We are looking for papers that consider Social Media applications in different industries and ways of measuring the effectiveness of social media applications on the innovation processes. 

Participants can benefit from several important publication opportunities, such as:

• A special issue of the Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management
• The Journal of Information, Communication and Ethics in Society (JICES) published by Emerald
